New bed planted for 2025 with roses selected for colour and fragrance.
The varieties are:
Fragrant Cloud
Repeat flowering small hybrid tea shrub rose. Large coral-scarlet blooms with strong
sweet fragrance.
Bring Me Sunshine
Repeat flowering large English shrub rose. Large sunset orange-yellow cupped rosette
blooms with medium-strong myrrh fragrance.
Grace
Repeat flowering medium English shrub rose. Medium apricot rosette blooms with
medium tea fragrance.
Summer song
Repeat flowering medium English shrub rose, Medium orange-red cupped blooms with
mixed hints of chrysanthemum leaves, ripe bananas and tea fragrance.
5 MAYFLOWER 1620
Designed and fabricated by metal artist Stuart Hollett to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of
the sailing of the Mayflower and Pilgrim fathers from South Devon to a new life in America.
6 BRIGANTINE SCHOONER 1864
Many fine schooners were built around the Kingsbridge estuary. A vessel called
Ringleader was built at the Evans yard in 1864 and was the largest built at the time. She was registered in 1871 as a Brigantine,

Dedicated to the brave men of Kingsbridge and district who lost their lives in the
1914-18
and 1936-45 world wars.
9 KINGSBRIDGE & DISTRICT LIGHT RAILWAY SHED
Home to the miniature railway engine and ride on wagons run throughout the summer by
KDLR volunteers.
