Camellias at Site 16

This page is devoted to the Camellias, which are located on Ilbert Road opposite petrol station and Rope Walk (as a commemorative garden). 31 Camellias selected and supplied in 2023 by Stretegate Camellia nursery for variety of height, colour and range of flowering seasons. Nos. 20 - 31 will be added soon.

1. Dahlohnnega

Dahlohnnega: Medium size, deep cream to canary yellow formal double flowers in the spring.
Slow growing upright growth.

Soft silvery pink darkening to the tips. Upright and dense habit.

Variable semi double white flower with deep pink to red markings sometimes going completely deep pink.

A large shrub of vigorous and upright habit with deep rose-pink, formal double flowers up to 10cm across with fluted petals.

13. Midnight

Vigorous upright evergreen shrub with glossy dark green, ovate leaves with finely serrated edges.
Large deep red semi double to loose anemone-form flowers

14. Pink Wave

Mid pink semi double flowers with lighter pink flushes appearing in the spring.
Open and medium habit, Light green serrated leaves.

Compact and slow growing evergreen bush with dark matt green leaves.
Dusky pink peony form flowers appear in the Spring.

16. Plantation Pink

Vigorous, upright evergreen shrub with glossy dark green leaves and large scented single to semi-double pink flowers in late autumn to early winter.
