WATERING

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The team work tirelessly to maintain sustainability in these ever changing climate conditions.

Most ground based areas are perennial planting needing minimal attention.

The summer months (May - August) are supplemented with colourful annual container based planting to support a theme (such as orange and yellow for the RNLI 200 year anniversary in 2024).

Container planting requires regular watering during long, hot, dry spells using our two motorised bowsers

We need a team of able-bodied volunteers to join a summer watering rota to use the bowsers to water small assigned areas at given dates and times chosen by you. It can take less than an hour and sometimes rain does your slot for you!

The bowsers can be operated by one person but is much more sociable as a pair. Being motorised they are not difficult to push and you should not get wet! Full training is given.
